I had a few problems wit my telephone connection which was detected by my mom yesterday morning. She told me this when i was back from college. I had a few other work,so i didn’t care to call the customer care, But later in the evening i realised that i had to mail a few people and i needed my airtel modem to work. So i went to marc’s place at 6 o’clock and called airtel customer care and registered a complaint. i got my complaint number, and then i returned home felt a bit boring then was trying to get some sleep. Knock Knock… Airtel service engineer was there at 8.00pm. He got everything fixed in ten mins. I felt happy, Now blogging my experience on the internet.I personally thank the guy working in Besant Nagar!

I’m In-charge of Techno-vision 2007-2008, We had organized a few events
1. Gaming
2.Puzzle
3.Quiz

Now, Gaming was fun but the college computers had to be prepared from scratch.
We did the following.,
1. Checked the config.
2. Installed Daemon-tools.
3. Installed On-board Graphics.
4. Connected the computers to the lan and joined them in a group called “GAME”.
5. Corrected the sensitivity of the mouse for some action.
6. Scanned a few computers for Virus and found some.,
7. Corrected the RGB settings and gama settings in the computer.
8. Corrected the Resolution Rate in all the monitors.
9. Finally restarted.
10. Installed the Game., Counter-Strike Cz and NFS UG 2.
11. The Lan was too slow for the transfer, eventhough it was an ISO.
12. Then i copied it through the USB drive which was quite fast.
13. Checked all the computers for the speed.
14. Eliminated all the slow computers.
15. Chose a Fast computer for GAME server.
16. Done.

I have a Bajaj CT 100, Now i have been a good driver. But unfortunately i see that so many people have temptations to disrupt me from my normal self. I exactly don’t remember why Marc and i were in a hurry to reach a destination but i managed to break a new basket attached to a bike. Thanks to Revathi and Marc . And Now Marc don’t mess this up!

Cressida 2k7 was the much awaited event since i heard something about it during 2004. I had an opportunity to participate in it. Marc was the one who wanted to go there in the first place, but he didn’t turn up due to rain,Lol. I had all things planned up and then took one of my friend Vetri for the Event, while Adi accompanied me complaining that he was hardly prepared for his exam.I had told my dad to drop us at Guindy, then we took the train and travelled. We all reached SRM, ate morning breakfast at his canteen, by then it was already getting late for Adi and he left. Now Myself and Vetri were ready to be in action. We really went so early that the place was so quite, i thought no one turned up for the event.
We were directed to the Auditorium which was located in some other street. After all the speech and stuff, Now came back to the Registration counter and saw at least 1500 participants waiting to get their id’s ready. As usual i got the way and space and managed to get to the first in minutes, but stood there for 45mins without getting myself registered. The Registration process was poorly planned for such a crowd and those females writing our info were really slow(felt like at least kicking them once). Then got the id finally from a guy and managed to enter two competitions and finished it. Even to enter the room allotted for us was a tedious task with atleast 10 people trying to push me around(What the heck!).,

Wat we did : Apart from attending the competitions we also managed to get our hands on the Library computers, books and computers in the browsing section. Then slept at the lawn ,ate briyani, visited classes , talked to SRM students as if we were one among them, watching students activities, drank water, roamed around sometime,listening to radio,talking on the phone. helping the students participants in their Treasure hunt competition., Managed to do much more that might stay on in my memory ! ha ha..

Lost both the competitions in the finals with 1 point and 2 points in Web designing and hardware assembling.

Virus spread when Anti-virus is in a pathetic state. My whole college is infected with Fujacks Virus and all the students accessing those files in their home via Usb are also affected ! So don’t ask me.,

Overview -

W32/Fujacks!htm is a detection for the following type of files infected with the parasitic W32/Fujacks virus:
- htm
- html
- asp
- php
- jsp
- aspx

When infected, these type of files will act as a downloader when executed and download the W32/Fujacks virus.

When executed by a browser, will download in background a variant of W32/Fujacks parasitic virus, which will infect the following files:
- EXE
- SCR
- PIF
- COM

and the already cited types above.
When infecting the html,htm,asp,php,jsp and aspx files, it will append an iframe with width=0 and height=0, so the user will not notice it.
Symptoms
Symptoms -

The computer may become slow and may occasionally reboot due the infection of the executable files.
For the W32/Fujacks!htm infected files, they will have an iframe in the last line of the files.

The W32/Fujacks virus will search several different vectors to find these type of files:
- htm
- html
- asp
- php
- jsp
- aspx
- EXE
- SCR
- PIF
- COM

So it can infect them.

A combination of the latest DATs and the Engine will be able to detect and remove this threat. AVERT recommends users not to trust seemingly familiar or safe file icons, particularly when received via P2P clients, IRC, email or other media where users can share files.
