Intel to invest over $1bn in India
Intel is going to invest more than $1Billion in India over three years to come. They are focusing on light-weight computers that are easily portable and can use internet on the go with less memory storage (wtf?). They news source said that the internet penetration in India is really pathetic when compared with other countries.(As if we are not trying our best, Blame the service providers for giving us such a low Broadband connection). They also said that BPO industry is the only one benefited from “flattening of the world”, simply the rest did not utilize since they do not have Broadband access. The company is preparing to introduce the Wimax technology in India, the fastest wireless Broadband technology available at lower cost then optical fibres. I see that this is a good topic to talk when we Indians suffer the slow internet because the Broadband cables are getting repaired.
