Madras University Results 2008
My college is affiliated to Madras University. The Madras University is the best when compared to Anna University as they want to implement nonsense things only just because they wanted to. In colleges affiliated to Madras Univ, you find peace and a steady progress in the interest towards the subject and a total reduction in the stress level. When i appreciate all these, there are rumors that something went wrong with Madras university results, I totally disagree. This time the results are a bit delayed only because they implemented a new system and they have to be a bit more careful about the entries they have made, they have to double check on each and every thing they have done to reduce the flaw in the system. I scold the fellows who try to act smart by sending false SMS to others about results. It is better to keep quite and wait, because you are in one of the best University in India. No matter what Madras Univ guys can do more things than other guys, cos we can spend our time usefully unlike Engineering students. As far as i know, the results will published in 2 weeks from now. So don’t worry !

Can you please help me i am in a crisis?? I am doing my Bcom in an Madras University Affliated college and have cleared all my papers of first semester and also have appeared my second semester in the month of april 08 and waiting for my result. Now i am also doing my CA articleship training and timings there is from 10.00 to 17.00, so i am not able to attend my college. So i am planning to quit my college and join a correspondence course in the same university. I called up Madras Univ. They said it will be published sooner. They said this was a delay due to the inconvenience of using the computer generated Paper codes and things relating that. So Everyone have to wait till then.

well i think u r grossly mistaken!
anna univ is way way ahead of madras univ anyday and i know that coming from the madras univ myself!
our univ got a reputation long long ago and has failed to keep it up or even think abt living upto it! whereas anna univ has made sure of leading the way in the engg field by updating their syllabus and stuff regularly!
madras univ SUX bigtime…and what with them losing 15000 answer papers last semester was a HORRID mistake!
they accepted it by not allowing the transparency system to be implemented for that semester alone….we can see thru them anytime!

Please don’t compare Madras university with Anna university. To my knowledge Madras university is just a money making machine, gives provision to every tom, dick and harry a chance to get a certificate(just a certificate). I had seen their curriculum, indeed I did my BE in Madras University, as you said Steady progress and peace will holds good for candidates who just want to get a degree for the sake of using it for occupation. But it doesnot improve the knowledge the candidates. I’m not trying to hurt you in any aspect, this is just to creat an awareness among the society.
I also have lot of respect towards Madras University being one of the very oldest(historically acclaimed) university. But now it is getting misused.
Regarding its website, they havenot invested any brianstorming in making it more intuitive. When I go to the results page it is blank, the pity is that I have to go to other 3rd party sites to know the status of the results. The credibility of the an univesity can be easily judged by this end points like website, employees who are issuing halltickets, Invigilators in the exam hall, credibility of the correction that happens.
Please don’t try to give me some reasons to satisfy me or irritate me. I’m a neutral person and I don’t have any hesitation towards Madras University. I’m only worry is that its heritage is being corrupted by selfish staffs in the university, nothing to say more.

Some of your points were mere grievances that occurred to you. I can see a lot of change now in the university. Its in a slow pace that its hard for others to notice that quickly. Now, you sit back and see how the university improves in a couple of years to come. I have no issues that some of your points may be true., But this will not continue as such in the near future.

i think madras university is worst university on this planet. i wrote my exams in june 2008 i am still waiting for my results… this university should get an award for being the worst university on this planet.. they said i will get my results in september first week then they said september second week then they said september third week then october first week, then they said oct 7 then oct 10… and today when i called them they are saying i will get my results by the end of the month… can u believe the year is coming to an end and they have not given the second year results as yet…. how can they be so sick disorganised and such a loser university… i would advise everybody not to ever ever ever ever join this horrible university

Ppl results for UG is out in websites..
The thing is PG results are yet to come ..
Sad state is ppl who do UG in Distance and opt for PG will merely waste 1 year coz. admissions fr MCA/MBA under annauniv and madras univ in regular colleges is already over.. and those who expected results by august end got result only by oct 19th.. well.. this is one pathetic state tat the authorities must take in to accoount..
