University of Madras, chepauk. The bike parked in the parking lot of the university with watchman guarding the premesis is getting lost. and things stolen from bike.

Incident 1:
My bike’s horn and cut out were stolen 7 months ago in university of madras chepauk’s parking lot.

incident 2:
An activa of my classmate, (a Chinese guy) lost it in the same parking lot(no insurance).

incident 3:
Another friend of mine lost his splendor bike before 3 months parked opposite to the university. That was actually in the Marina beach.(splendor, blue-black,no insurance)

incident 4:
A guy lost his splendor parked in the University bike parking a week ago (no insurance).

All the bike stealing incidents seen here were planned on uninsured vehicles. This makes me suspicious that whether the insurance companies do this or some one related to them do this.
Or else it could be this, some guy brilliantly tracing out bikes that are not insured. Because if those bikes were insured then the company that does insurance may pressure police to find the bike. This might be the cause i guess. Till today there is no solution.

I was called a format freak by Marc., but i didn’t try it in my own PC after a major upgrade(since things seemed stable). I sticked to Microsoft Vista for a long time. Who sez Vista sucks ? It is pretty good if you know how to handle it. I want to try Windows 7 but budgets too low to consider it an upgrade. While Marc is using a copy of windows 7 in his office environment.
Anyway here i am blogging after i had formatted my system. I was forced by Karthik (Stunner Karthi or Thunder Karthi). I had to do this after my bluetooth driver got pretty F***ed up. I tried all the forums and reinstalled all things but ended in vain. My DVD would not burn properly., and other issues that i ignored as an Indian. But the time has come that my inner ignorance cannot be left alone without proper fix. Therefore..

Alt + F4
I chose restart
Inserted Vista disc
Formatted my system.

End of Story. Damn i should have done it long before.
Note:My system shows a base score of 5.3

How SET PATH for softwares like Java, COBOL, MASM, etc.
1. You need the correct piece of software.
2. Then go to command prompt. (Start -> Run-> cmd).
3. Type “SET PATH=Drive:\Directory\” (without the double quotes)
or else do this.
4. goto Control Panel->Systems->Advanced(Tab)-> Environment Variables
5. In system variables , there is a entry names “PATH”, then click EDIT.
6.You can see some entries. End the previous entry with “;” and then add your path “Drive:\Directory\” and then end it with “;”

Madras university computer science department is one of the most sophisticated departments in University of Madras, chepauk campus. It has very good infrastructure with latest computers and facilities for students to avail. The department has a separate library which could be used by students to lend books for their examinations or use other reference books. All the credit goes to the Head of the Department Mr.Thangavel Who is an M.Tech, PhD. We have the most wonderful and the very good seniors and Super seniors. The Department which provides M.C.A with 5 credits(While other Universities like Anna University provides M.C.A with only 4 credits),So i’m totally happy with what i’m doing right now. I have always developed hatred towards Anna University unknowingly(Thanks to Marc for that). The think we’ll get some of the broken chairs fixed sooner. Other than that everything in the university seems fine to me. The timetable for the first year students are properly planned and there is almost no fuzz about anything there. I like the way it is in The Madras university since there is no spoon feeding there, and i think that is the first sign where we realize that it is a University and not the colleges who care for pushing students to get the desired results.

I have been backing up so many things in my hard disk that i literally don’t know whats in it right now. It is all filled up with lots and lots of excel, word, etc., and other c programs, C++ programs, Java Programs, COBOL programs, and other text files i created temporarily. Its always been chaos, and it is really tough to find one single file when i really need it. Then came the day when i used the live search option from vista and a bit of renaming things helped me a lot. I know it would take at least 3 days to sort things in my disk. I’m planning to buy a 360 GB hard disk so that i could sort things and then i’d sell the previous hard disks. (Till then Marc, don’t even think of deleting things from my computer without my presence.)

I bought a TV combo box for my 19′ LCD Wide. I kept it inside the cupboard for a long time since i had no cable connection that reached my room. Later, i managed to get some money and i made the electrician do the job while he came for another one. Then came the time to connect it finally. I took me two minutes to connect all the cables and things, then when i switched it on, i was shocked. All the menu was in Chinese(I was wondering why was a Zebronics product would prioritize Chinese as the preferred language?), with much difficulty i changed the language to English. I started to tune for channels. The tuning was going on and on, by then i had gone to Adyar and i was back. I was expecting some good results but i was wrong. I realized that it was an investment which was unnecessary. I think i have to be stuck with computers till i get a Dish connection.

My 6th SEM results included a new CODE: CESQ , I was wondering what would be this code for?
Then i asked a few guys of my Class, and then a few seniors who passed out. No one had idea about it. Later i called up my Department HOD, and then she clearly explained what it was.

“CESQ” = “Compulsory Extension Services Qualification”

CESQ is the credit awarded to us based on our activities in N.S.S , Sports , N.C.C etc.

The Maximum Mark is 3, while the 2 is supposed to be excellent since most people are awarded with this and finally 1, the minimum. And 0 will be considered “FAIL”.

I was forced to quit riding the Good old scooter and buy a CT100. We opted for BAJAJ Finance thinking that they would be better since its their own Financing service, But we were totally wrong. This all started when the BAJAJ Finance had to shift from their previous location at Mount Road to a Crappy place nearby. They did not inform us anything., and when the ECS bounced {Since we didn’t operate a specific bank because my dad took a Voluntary Retirement} they simply would call us and collect the cash every month. I thought see thats a good service from BAJAJ, But it all was wrong when they charged me 2500 Rs. for the bouncing of 8 ECS clearances. But it was not my mistake while i asked the person wat was the procedure to change the bank details? and then the contact number in the reciept was all wrong.
Dad got pissed off and then he paid all the rest of the EMI as DD and then settled the damn EMI thing. BAJAJ Services SUCK big TIME dude. So don’t buy BAJAJ Products.

What ever i tell about movies, Marc wouldn’t believe my review. So here is Dasavatharam Movie review. I already saw it on saturday, 14th 2008. But again i’m going to watch it again on 19th.

My Old PC AMD 2800+, the only one which i got selling off my Pentium 4 (1.7 Ghz) without my Parents knowledge long back, which is going to be used for only typing text and printing bills for my Computer Illiterate Dad who wants it since he got me a new one. I don’t mind giving it but it is still a better PC.

I feel pity for my old computer since it is still working fine. It would be literally switched off all the time except for a few hours per day. My Dad had challenged me that he would beat me in the computer knowledge and one day he would Master the subject. (Lets See). I don’t Under-estimate his skills because he holds 4 MASTER degree and he will finish another one if he submits his thesis. Now he wants to apply for Ph.d . No one can talk and convince my dad that he sets his foot on. He carefully thinks and analyzes the situation and then asks the people around and comes up with a scientific solution.
